When is the last time you decided to pursue a dream? When is the last time you purchased tickets for a trip that you have been longing to take your whole life? When is the last time you bought that car you’ve been eyeing for years? When is the last time you worked out and trained towards a physical goal? When is the last time you went dancing or laid on a blanket under the stars and allowed your imagination to soar? What are the feelings that come up for you when I ask these questions?

I saw a show recently that referred to the phenomenon that creeps up around middle age- “Living Life from a LazyBoy”. It is easy to slip into “Spectator” mode. We get burned out emotionally and physically just trying to keep up our pace on the treadmill of life- or the “Culturally Conforming Conveyor Belt”.

Take a moment- close your eyes and imagine what it would FEEL like to be actively, purposefully and productively engaging in YOUR life. Once you have a vision- grab your Vital Journal and begin to chart your course!

Here is today’s Vital Reset ReMINDer:

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing.”

George Bernard Shaw

My very best wishes for an exceptional day and to your long and vital life.
