When you think of retirement- you plan to retire around what age?

  4. 85
  5. Why would I retire?

We believe that the traditional concept of retirement needs to be “re-visited” and possibly “RETIRED”!

If we are scientifically supposed to live at least another 15-20 years longer than we currently believe, then retiring and retirement are due for an upgrade.

When asked how long they are going to live, the majority of people will answer with an age range of any where from 80-85 years. They are working off of old science and old news! The truth is that our bodies are designed to last for many years past the 100 milestone.

If you do the math, you could be tooling around in your garage, playing a few rounds of golf, seeking out early bird specials and sitting in your recliner watching re-runs for about 40-50 years! For some, that may sound like a really wonderful life. For most, this would be unacceptable. They would make other plans. Some of those plans would probably include continuing to work, staying engaged and being productive.

We live, plan and retire within the terms of all of the Culturally Conforming Conveyor Belt messages and conditioning. For years we have been actively sold the concept of retirement and now we are being sold the concept of early retirement!

Current studies show that those who retire early tend to decline and die earlier. An article by Ann Brenoff in the Huffington Post revealed that early retirement may well be the “Kiss of Death”. A study by Oregon State University found that even people with health issues were likely to live longer if they kept on working.

It is time for us to make profound upgrades to our way of living and decision making. Just as we must adjust to the changes in our technology, we must adjust and make changes regarding our longevity.

What things would you START doing today if you knew you may well be here at 100?

What things would you STOP doing today if you knew that it is very possible that you will be still dependent on the body you have to get you around at 100?

These are life changing questions! We would love to help you with making these “PRIMARY DECISIONS” in your life. Once you have asked the right questions- we are confidant that you will discover new and empowering ways in which to live your long and vital lives!

Here is today’s Vital Reset ReMINDer:

“The reason I don’t retire is that I learn something new everyday. The brain has to be exercised the same as the body. It’s about expanding, constantly pushing yourself.” Clint Eastwood
