Love. What a wonderful feeling! What a wonderful expression! While we continue to celebrate the month of Love, let’s make sure that we remember to give time and energy to one of the most important relationships of all… the relationship with ourselves!

There is a wonderful old song by Bing Crosby entitled “Getting to know you”. It goes something like this: “Getting to know you- getting to know all about you. Getting to like you- getting to hope you like me. Haven’t you noticed, suddenly I’m bright and breezy. Because of all the beautiful and new, things I’m learning about you, day by day.” I think about this little tune often when I sit down to journal or work on a new Rapid Reset Transformational worksheet. There is no replacement for the time that we spend going inside, exploring and getting to know ourselves!

Change- is constant. Change is happening rapidly all around us every moment. We don’t think of ourselves being included in this changing world and yet, our inner landscape changes constantly. When we dedicate quality time to be spent with ourselves, we benefit from that investment in a full circle. Knowing and loving the self is a practice that benefits all of our relationships. We show up in our lives with a greater ability to communicate authentically and with fuller expression. In turn, when we fully express our true selves, people tend to respond with appreciation, gratitude and respect. When this happens, we begin to feel a deep sense of well being, fulfillment and happiness.

It’s a very simple premise- loving yourself. If only it were as simple to implement it! Most of us are not taught how to truly love, appreciate and fully validate ourselves. We hide, we cultivate and present to the world a very tidy and acceptable version of ourselves. Sometimes, that version of ourselves begins to define us in ways that no longer serves us. We must be bold and courageous enough to consciously go inside and have deep conversations with ourselves. We must ask ourselves who we are and what we really want. Once we have conscious clarity about the changes we wish to make, we will be empowered with unforeseen pathways and creative solutions to make the changes we wish to see in our lives.

In what ways do you actively demonstrate unconditional love toward yourself?

Here is today’s Vital Reset ReMINDer:

When people start to love themselves more each day, it’s amazing how their lives get better. They feel better. They get the jobs they want. They have the money they need. Their relationships either improve, or the negative ones dissolve and new ones begin. Louise Hay

My very best wishes for an exceptional day and to your long and vital life.
